So, Mr. Galabad has an issue in his hoof that requires soaking with epsom salts and water. We've never had to do this before, and while Gali isn't the most cooperative horse on the ground, he has no problems with water or puddles or having his hooves handled, so I didn't think he would protest too much. So I started taking riding lessons last year after almost twenty years out of the saddle. It's great to get back to it, and I've really been enjoying myself, and I'm looking to get more involved than my one-or-two lessons a week.

So, maybe I'll just try to part board a horse, but...

Farrier came yesterday and she still tested positive to the hoof tester on her heels and he said she has actual bruising! He said the last farrier tried to make a shoe that was too big fit her by bending the bars of the shoe in more which put too much pressure on her heel.
